Campus Resources

The University is committed to fostering diversity through its many student resources. Several campus-wide offices offer support and resources for students across the University. In addition, many of the professional schools house diversity offices of their own. We hope you’ll explore—and use—the wide array of resources on campus.

Diversity Offices

Many offices on campus focus on bringing diverse people together through events, resources, and other community-building programming.

This is a sampling of University offices working on diversity. Check with your program or dean of students for resources offered by your school or department.

Office of Multicultural Student Affairs - Supports the academic success of students of color at the University of Chicago and works to build an inclusive campus community.

Office of LGBTQ Student Life - Serves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, and questioning students and allies from across the University in order to create an inclusive and safe community, providing educational, social, and professional opportunities and resources.

Spiritual Life Office - Connects students of every faith to resources on campus and in the community at large, including student groups, places of worship, and events.

Chicago Booth Office of Diversity Affairs - Committed to increasing access to a top-tier business education for gays and lesbians, women, and underrepresented minorities and to providing networking and fellowship opportunities for these underrepresented groups.

Pritzker School of Medicine Office of Multicultural Affairs - Works to ensure a supportive academic environment for underrepresented minorities at the school.

Services

Several services are aimed at providing tools and guidance to help students understand their options and to answer logistical questions.

Diversity, Civility, and Equity at the University of Chicago - A comprehensive collection from the Office of Campus and Student Life containing policies, support and resources, incident reporting guidelines, and initiatives.

Bias Response Team - Made up of administrators who are available to support and guide students seeking assistance in determining how to handle a bias incident.

Office of International Affairs - Enhances the University’s vibrant international community and fosters cross-cultural experience by welcoming, supporting, and strengthening diversity through advocacy and holistic service.

Supporting Undocumented Students (PDF) - Details the University’s stance of admitting and providing financial aid to students who are undocumented immigrants.

Student Disability Services - Facilitates the full participation of students with a disability in the life of the University.

Veterans Services - Through the University Registrar, provides advising and scholarship information for U.S. veterans.

For Women at the University - Promotes a University environment that recruits and retains the most highly qualified female academics.
